Sacred Heart offers a Resource Room and some Special-Ed services. Principal Akano will review your child’s Individualized Education Program form to determine if Sacred Heart can provide the necessary assistance. If we cannot meet your needs, we would be happy to refer you to neighboring schools with the appropriate support for your child’s needs.
Students in Pre-K and Kindergarten begin the school day at 8:00 AM and are dismissed at 3:00 PM. Students in Grades 1-8 begin the school day at 8:00 AM and stay until 4:00 PM as part of the Extended Day program. Students in all grades are invited to participate in the Early-Bird program which begins at 7:00 AM and/or in the after school program which ends at 6:00 PM.
Sacred Heart offers a robust after school curriculum including Art Club, chess, theater, zumba, technology, dance, and sports! Given that our after school program lasts until 6:00 PM, Sacred Heart is the ideal school for working parents.
Sacred Heart offers tutoring in mathematics and reading when needed. In addition, the school requires 8th graders to attend the After-School program three days a week for the extra academic and extra-curricular support needed to succeed in high school.
Sacred Heart strives to prepare all of our students for bright, successful futures. Principal Akano and the Grade 8 teacher collaborate to give families a comprehensive understanding of the high school application process including tutoring for the TACHS exam, counseling services, and personal recommendations. Our graduates have attended a multitude of top notch high schools including Regis, Xavier, Cathedral, St. Jean Baptiste, Mount Saint Michael Academy, Cristo Rey, Cardinal Spellman, and Cardinal Hayes.
